We'd hoped to be announcing
that Penumbra 2011 was open for vendor and
entertainer applications at this time. We have
been in negotiations with a new site and owner since
summer of 2010, and had every reason to believe that
we would be able to follow up our 2009 success with
an even better event in an ever greater location.
Things never turn out the way we could wish.
It is with great reluctance and regret that we
announce that Penumbra Faire will NOT be taking
place in 2011. After obtaining the necessary
permits and assuring us of their pleasure and
enthusiasm for the project, the site owners have
changed their minds and decided they do not want to
host Penumbra on their property.
In this
uncertain economy, it is understandable that few
people are willing to take on new challenges and
venture into the unknown. Unfortunately,
Penumbra has come up against fear and uncertainty,
and lost.
Thank you all for having shared
this adventure with us, and making Penumbra a memory
in which we will always take great pride.
